Professor - PGR Admissions and PhD Programme Director in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde and Director of PeriDynamics Research Centre (PDRC).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prof. Erkan Oterkus’ contribution to the Solar Chimney project is mainly focused on structural mechanics and real-time monitoring.

PROF. islam amin

Professor at Port Said University and visiting researcher at The University of Strathclyde - Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prof. Islam Amin contributes to the Solar Chimney project as primary researcher on hydrodynamic performance of floating desalination platform using numerical methods.

mr. andrew johnson premchander

Research Assistant & PhD Researcher in the department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mr. Andrew Johnson Premchander contribution to the Solar Chimney by assisting Prof Islam Amin on structural design and 3D modelling.

Dr. Mohamed ElSayed Abdelfattah

Researcher at EDRC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Dr. Mohamed Elsayed is a PI on Solar Chimney project. Dr. Elsayed will bring to the project his experience in design he will perform gap analysis and site mapping for the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prof. Hosam A. Shawky is a Co-PI on Solar Chimney project. Prof. Shawky has more than 20 years of experience.

Professor of Economics and Director of Tyco Office at EDRC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prof Dalia E. Abozaid will investigate project’s Environmental Impact Analysis and Socio-economic Analysis on poor people. Furthermore here activities will be focused on the sustainable provision of potable water and she will contribute to the management team.
